You’ve heard so much about people trading forex and you want a piece of action. You sign up with one of the forex brokers and charged funds to your credit card to fund an account to try. BAM! Your account gets wiped out.
Is there anything that can be done to prevent such unfortunate circumstance to happen? I bet you know the answer! Paper/ demo trading!
Here No Bullshit Forex will guide you along step by step on how to setup your Windows platform with the popular Meta Trader 4.
There’re many market makers that offer free demo accounts for you to try trading. My personal favourites are North Finance and Interbank FX.
We’ll use Interbank FX site step by step on how to download, install and use Meta Trader 4.
1. Get on to http://www.interbankfx.com/ , move your mouse over to ‘Accounts’ and click on ‘Open a Demo Account’
2. A form will open up, asking for your personal details. Do fill up your personal details and a valid email to receive the download link from Interbank FX. Remember to choose MT4 under platform.
3. Once you’ve submitted the form, the email will be dispatched (usually instant) with the download link. Click on it and download ‘ibsetup4.exe’ to your desktop, or any locations of your local hard drive.
4. Double click on ‘ibsetup4.exe’ and have it installed to your system. Choose your local language, check on ‘Yes, I agree with all the terms of this License Agreement‘, click next, and have it installed on C:\Program Files\Interbank FX Trader 4\
5. Once installed, check on ‘Launch Interbank FX Trader‘ and click ‘Next‘
6. Fill up the Registration form, check on ‘I agree to subscribe to your newsletters‘ (Doesn’t matter the amount you choose, nor the ratio for now, we’ll talk about leverage in the next few issues), next on ‘Trading Servers‘ and you’re done!
A set of demo userid and password should be generated. You can choose to write it down somewhere or just launch your MT4 when you are ready to trade as the software will automatically login to your set of demo userid and password. Do note your MT4 might ask you to do an update, just simply click ‘Yes‘ and ‘Restart‘ when it’s done.

I recommend everyone to use only this demo account some months and read/learn a lot about forex before losing real money in a real account, although I believe that to gain some money in Forex first you must lose a lot in a real account lol

Hey Gray, thanks for dropping by. Most market makers make use of MT4 nowadays. Even if they don’t use MT4, people can still download it for chart analysis, which I think MT4 is really good for.

yeap, meta trader 4. ours goes by the name fx station. i compared the graphics you have above and the only difference is the name. prolly they both purchased it from one software producer. also prolly other firms are using the same software too.
Yeap, most market makers makes use of MT4. It’s pretty comprehensive and easy to use. Very good for chart analysis
